ABOUT MAGIC

So what do you know about magic?
I don’t mean the rabbit out of a hat stuff, that is more correctly called ‘conjuring’.

Magic is in fact the study undertaken by the three Magi who followed the star, to bring the symbolic gifts to Jesus upon his birth in a manger, in a small town called Bethlehem, hundreds of miles from their home.
Evidence would seem to indicate that these Magi had access to a very unusual source of information about the time and place of the birth of ‘the Saviour of the World’.
I have pondered on what their family and the people in their local village said to them before they set out on that fateful journey.
Perhaps something like -
“So why are you packing your camel with so many provisions Dad? Where are you going?”
“Well Son, I have seen this star, and as a consequence I know I have to go on a sacred journey far away from here.”
“But why Dad? And why are you taking all our gold with you?”
“I have to bring a symbolic gift to a child born in a barn. I can’t explain it more than that.  You should know that my buddies have had the calling too and they are coming with me. Each of them has a different gift. Jo had to bring Frankincense, which is more valuable than gold, he had to mortgage his house to get it and Jack has to bring Myrrh to symbolise the youthful death of the child - creepy”
“So why are you doing this Dad?”
“Because I am a Magician with a responsibility to history, with access to information beyond the common man. In time to come our journey will become famous, there will be sacred songs written of the event. For now, I would ask you to trust me and know that I love you and by doing this I am fulfilling my own destiny.”

Magic is the study of truth, through understanding the forces that move within the field we call ‘earth’. A Magician can harness great power for good or evil but if the Magician’s purpose is personal and ego based, it becomes the reverse of LIVE, which is EVIL and the outcome is Black Magic. If however, the Magician’s purpose is for the good of all mankind in service to humanity, then the outcome is White Magic. Magic is a large topic and I am only just getting started, but remember that every one has an internal personal magician waiting to be trained, so they can remember who they are and what they are to become, for the purpose of Joy.

Silver  is a chemical element with the symbol Ag (Latin: argentum) and atomic number 47. A soft white lustrous transition metal, it has the highest electrical and thermal conductivity for a metal. It occurs as a free metal (native silver) as well as various minerals such as argentite and chlorargyrite. Most silver is produced as a by-product of copper, gold, lead, and zinc mining.

Silver has been known since antiquity. It has long been valued as a precious metal and used in currency, ornaments and jewellery, as well as utensils (hence the term silverware).

Because of the mysticism surrounding silver's lunar associations, as well as the aesthetic qualities of the white, reflective metal that cause it to be associated with purity, silver in European Folklore has long been traditionally believed to be an antidote to various maladies and mythical monsters.

Unlike blacksmiths, silversmiths do not shape the metal while it is red-hot but instead, work it at room temperature with gentle and carefully placed taps of their hammer.
